What is REP? The Remedial Educational Program is designed to assist students to achieve projected competencies in academic skills using the accommodations needed to be successful.
Our remedial education program is intended for all students, with or without special needs; the defining trait is simply that they are not prepared for a traditional style classroom, regardless of why. For example, people of high intelligence can be under-prepared if their education was disrupted, for example by trauma, a medical condition, lack of prior schooling, etc.
The Remedial Educational Program celebrates each child’s uniqueness and learning style.
Here we believe all children hold talents, skills and intellect.
The goal is to maximize each child’s individual strengths using techniques that accommodate each learning style and to prepare children in areas where they are weak by making informed decisions to promote a child’s academic growth per their distinctive abilities.
The Potter’s House Academy believe a child is most successful when communication is clear in the following areas: teacher to student, teacher to parent, parent to teacher, parent to student, student to parent, student to teacher. It is said “it takes a village to raise a child,” we are proud to be living in this village with you and we accept our role in your child’s needs accordingly.
